Popinjay is an old word for a parrot, found in abundance in tropical forests - and this colorway plays with all the mossy, leafy, parrot greens.

Choose your colorway and order your kit now through May 12, 2024. Kits will ship on May 15. You’ll receive a Ravelry download code for the pattern via email on May 16.

You’ll receive one 1200-yard skein of Yearning, (65% Merino wool, 35% Tussah silk heavy lace weight weight yarn), enough yarn to complete the Jungle Garden pattern. You'll also receive the pattern as a PDF download. Yarn winding is not available for club sets.

The pattern calls for a 32”/80cm US 2 (2.75mm) needle, or whatever size you’ll need to get the gauge of 22 stitches and 37 rows over 4”/10cm in lace stitches.

Yearning

Yearning is a triple-sized skein of our Yet heavy lace weight yarn, perfect for larger projects. Somewhere between a true lace weight and a fingering weight, we think of Yet as a 'rustic' lace yarn, even though it's a sophisticated merino and silk blend. The slightly heavier grist of this yarn means it's easy to work with, especially for newer lace knitters. Yet wears well and continues to look good year after year. Try it in shawls and lightweight sweaters.

Gauge: Heavy lace weight. 8-10 stitches per inch knit on US 00-1, 8-10 stitches per inch crocheted on US 8-B, variable in lace work.
