We're preparing for Stitches Midwest, August 6-9 in Schaumburg, IL. Our booth (actually, 4 booths) has moved closer to the front and we're now located at booths 507, 509, 606, and 608.
The studio crew is pitching in and working hard processing all the yarn Babs has dyed! In some places of the studio we have nearly run out of room - we literally have yarn to the ceiling. Here's a bunch of yarn waiting to be twisted:
And even more, stacked up in boxes, waiting to be hung on our show racks or packed into bigger boxes for the road trip north. (If you're curious, the hot pink & multi colorway in the front box is Mad Hatter).
Here's another peek into those boxes:
Beth, Haley, Ivy, and Calli Rae have been busy making lots of little Toe skeins for Gradient and Polydactyl sets.
So what exactly are we bringing with us? The short answer is "nearly everything, and lots of it" but here's the full list:
NEW for Stitches Midwest (that is, if you haven't seen us since last Stitches Midwest, we're bringing these to Illinois for the first time):
- Keira: springy, round, dense heavy fingering weight merino
- Hot Shot: skinny merino-nylon sock yarn
- Killington: polwarth-silk sport weight in a 700-yard skein
- K2: finally we have a chunky we love!
- Kunlun: pure luxury, merino-cashmere-silk DK
Plus your favorites: Yowza, Yummy 2-Ply, Gradient and Polydactyl Sets, Tarte, Yet and Yet Trios, Northumbria Fingering, Katahdin and Kilimanjaro, 2-Ply Toes, Shiruku, Sojourn and Sojourn Sport. Of course we'll have our selection of patterns, stitch markers, Fleegle Beaders, and silk scarves.
We also have lots of new garment and accessory samples to inspire you: stay tuned for an upcoming blog post showcasing those.
