Lately....

I have been getting ready for Sock Summit, filling some wholesale orders, and generally busy as the major show season is ahead of me at this point. We go to Portland in 3 weeks or so, to Chicago a month later, and then Asheville/SAFF five weeks after that. So life has been busy and will only get busier until the middle of November. Lots to do.

But thankfully the daylilies are blooming. There are lots of orange daylilies.

I especially love this daylily.

I have also been busy knitting a Juliet sweater (designed by the Zephyrgirls) out of a new yarn called Cumberland. I am carrying the yarn double, as it is essentially a DK weight and the pattern calls for bulky. Here's how far I have gotten...

I hope I can get this done for Sock Summit. Cumberland also makes great socks!! It is 80% fine wool and 20% organic cotton. Great feel on the foot! Softens up as it is worn. Yumm!

The Colorway Naming Contest is winding up soon. At this point over 700 people have come to my website and made entries. There are some definite themes in the names, but also some very interesting names!! Well, the judges will get to work their way through those on the 16th. I am still trying to figure out how to add a polling mechanism here instead of having to make folks go to another website. More on that later!

Juliet’s looking good. Trust Miss Babs yard to have a daylily in a pansy colorway. It’s gorgeous!
