Fall Patterns 2021--Sweaters!

We are so excited to introduce our Fall 2021 Pattern Collection. We have 16 projects in total, 8 of which we've introduced today in our newsletter. The second group will make its appearance in two weeks.

Today, let's look at the three garments in the first half of our collection--the Enfold Cardigan, the Forest Walk Sweater and the Hedera Swoncho. Each of these has some unique details we think you'll just love!

Enfold Cardigan by Susanna IC

The Enfold Cardigan, from designer Susanna IC, is a relaxed cardigan, worked from the bottom-up with classic raglan shaping and a flattering V-neck. It's a versatile garment with a boxy shape that can be worn by women and, with just a simple change of the button placement, by men.

We really love the soft cables that run along the center of the front, back, and the sleeves of this comfy sweater, almost like falling leaves. Knit in Yummy 3-Ply in Night Fire held together with Aubergine Moonglow, Enfold will be your comfy, go-to cardigan this fall and winter. The pattern is available on Ravelry.

Forest Walk by Helen Kennedy

Helen Kennedy created her Forest Walk sweater as an homage to the woods near her home where she walks her dog. The stitch pattern brings to mind a deep forest of trees providing shelter and respite from the chilly fall breeze.

Forest Walk has a drop shoulder construction which makes it suitable for all body types and the gentle A-line shaping allows for a little extra room across the hip, giving a comfortable and flattering fit.

The body of the sweater is worked from the bottom up in one piece, with some seaming at the shoulders for extra structure. As you transition from the pattern, a simple short row allows you to knit (not purl) in the round, a technique that makes this sweater a breeze to create. Our sample is knit in Killington, in the Patina colorway. We love the way textured stitches look in Killington.

Hedera by Stephanie Lotven

Our third garment this fall is Hedera by Stephanie Lotven. It is a combination sweater/poncho, a versatile piece that can be worn as both outerwear or inside your home.

Inspired by evergreen ivy, Hedera is knit seamlessly in the round from the top down and features a deep circular yoke. The length of the yoke creates an incredible palette for a large, dramatic, and uncomplicated colorwork motif of creeping vines and delightful flowers. With a squishy, fold-over collar, short, ribbed sleeves, and considerable positive ease, the Hedera is certain to be the most striking and comfortable garment in your closet.

Our Hedera swoncho is knit in Yowza in Coastal Fog, Beanstalk, and Fig, and we can't wait to see the combinations you all come up with! The photos on Ravelry and on Stephanie's website also include a lovely two-color version of this sweater.
