Here's what we've been working on recently! The weather may be warming up but our needles have still been busy.
Babs has just finished Tia by This.Bird.Knits in Damask. It was a fun quick knit. The sweater is exactly what I was looking for a light cover-up over sleeveless dresses this summer.
Ivy: I've now knit two of these simple Close to You shawls from Justyna Lorkowska. They were perfect for the long drive to and from Maryland Sheep & Wool - they're mostly simple garter stitch with an easy edging, perfect for one skein of variegated yarn. This one is knit in Foxy Yowza.
Lynn: I really enjoyed making Mary Annarella's Yellow Brick Rodeo! I used Mariposa and Spiked Punch in Yummy 2-Ply, and I just love how the slipped stitch yoke shows off the colors. It's a quick knit and a really nice pattern. If you have a skein of variegated fingering weight yarn, this is a fun project to consider.
Veronica: When I saw these fun graphic birds, I knew I had to knit the Charadriiformes cowl, designed by Sara Huntington Burch. The colorwork was a little challenging - there were a lot of long floats - but it was a pretty fast knit in Yowza Minis once I got a rhythm going. I'm really happy with how this has turned out! I used Rock Sparrow, Fiberworld 2020, and Dark Pegasus.
Helen has just finished Morvarch by Lucy Hague. Like many of her projects, this is a gift for her sister. It's knit in super-soft Caroline in After All, and the delicate embossed cables really shine in the center medallion.
