The New York Sheep & Wool Festival is almost here! We are excited to be heading back to Rhinebeck for beautiful fall weather and flocks of fiber fans.
Please join us on October 19-20 on the Dutchess County Fairgrounds - we'll be in our spot in the back of Building C, booths 31-32. The hours for the show are Sat. 9am-5pm, Sun. 9am-4pm.

Yowza
Our favorite sweater yarn, Yowza is a DK-weight superwash merino that comes in big 560-yard, 8-ounce skeins. It's super soft, which makes it great for accessories and baby items, too. Our Yowza sample garments include the new sweaters Feather Pullover, Eno, Farrah Fowler, and several shawls like Tsukimi, Out & About, and Even Cowgirls.
Yowza Minis
Get creative with color with Yowza Minis! Yowza Minis are 200-yard skeins of our flagship Yowza. We will have Yowza Minis available individually, as well as in sets of 6 skeins. Sets of 6 will create a beautiful Nightshift shawl, the Boxes and Towers wrap (above), Wellig, and other patterns.
Yummy 2-Ply and Toes
Yummy 2-Ply is a truly versatile superwash merino fingering weight yarn in a 400 yard skein. We dye 2-Ply in a rainbow of monochromatic and variegated shades. It's great for all kinds of accessories, but we also have lots of sweater quantities. The sweater shown above is Chauncey. We have lots of shawl and wrap projects for Yummy 2-Ply and other fingering weight yarns, including Ritchie, Weekend Wanderer, and more. Toes are 133-yard mini skeins, great for stripes, colorwork, and small projects.
Gradient Sets and 12-Color Sets
Both of these sets are made from our Yummy 2-Ply Toes mini skeins: Gradient Sets contain 6 minis, and Great British Baking Shawl, Crown Wools, Vacation Vibes, and Perfect Blend Sets include 12. Our newest Gradient Set samples include Coastal Highway, Cascara, and Knitting with Fronds, and we'll also be bringing some perpetual favorites!
Katahdin
We like big skeins and we cannot lie! Katahdin is 1750 yards of light fingering weight, superwash Bluefaced Leicester. It knits and wears like a dream and is a staff favorite. Try it in a big lightweight cardigan like Sempervirens or Beach Trip, a drapey pullover like Tegna (see our sample with modifications for length), or a big and bountiful shawl like the Intermission Wrap.
Yummy 3-Ply
This staff favorite is a wonderfully round and bouncy sport weight Merino wool. Yummy 3-Ply is an ideal sweater yarn (check out Antiquing and Firenze) but it's also great for accessories -- In the Stacks and Shh Wrap have both been very popular.
Keira
Keira is a heavy fingering weight yarn that works up into a dense, plush fabric with superb stitch definition and very little halo. We love its neat and tidy 4-ply construction and smooth hand. For a simple casual pullover, we like the Saturday Sweater - but this is a great yarn for accessories, too.
Killington
Killington is a lofty sport weight blend of Polwarth wool and Tussah silk. It has a subtle sheen, a slightly crisp hand, and excellent yardage. The sweater shown in the above photo is the Beekeeper Cardigan, knit in Old Gold. One of our new Killington samples is Morinne, an open boxy cardigan that fits everyone!
Tarte
Tarte is smooth and round, with a balanced 4-ply construction. Nylon and Tencel add strength, sheen, and drape to the superwash Merino in this yarn. Tarte is a beautiful choice for many fingering weight projects, including shawlettes like Akame, shown above and sweaters like Folio or Tillandsia where you'll enjoy the generous yardage in each skein. It's also great for socks where you'll enjoy its strength and smoothness.
Sojourn
Our most luxurious blend of 65% cashmere and 35% silk, Sojourn is incredibly soft, with a bit of a sheen and halo. This fingering weight yarn will be lovely in your most special projects, such as the Confection Cowls, shown above.
Show Colorway
This year's show colorway is inspired by a New York State symbol. We've dyed lots of our show colorway on nearly all of our bases, and the colorway will be available both Saturday and Sunday mornings, until we sell out. Limit 2 per customer.
