This colorway is a Wild Iris, meaning it is a truly unique, non-repeatable color. When this colorway is sold out, no more can be produced.
This colorway was given a person's name to indicate it is truly unique and one-of-a-kind. Generally these skeins come out of a batch of a regular colorway, but don't look enough like the intended color. Occasionally these skeins are a result of color development experimentation. You will receive the specific skein(s) shown in the photograph.
Katahdin 437
A lighter fingering weight than our Yummy 2-Ply, Katahdin 437 (formerly known as Northumbria Fingering - it is exactly the same yarn) is spun from the long, lustrous wool of Bluefaced Leicester sheep. BFL is a perfect canvas for Babs’ colors, giving the yarn a rich depth and slightly glossy finish. It's great for durable, fine-gauge socks, and lovely in crisp lacy shawlettes.
